The City of Waco has selected Design Workshop to create a plan to transform the parkland and facilities adjacent to the Floyd Casey development project into a vibrant, diverse and inclusive public landscape. Strong neighborhood connectivity and an emphasis on fun for the whole family are key elements. This project will create a large and exciting barrier free play environment for Wacoans of all ages and abilities to enjoy with their families, provide neighborhood and regional activation through varied programming, and anchor the site as a hub of trail connectivity.

With a re-imagined Waco Creek as a space for recreation, relaxation and learning and open spaces designed to celebrate the cultural heritage and Olympic and collegiate legacy that is South Waco, the Floyd Casey Park Development will be a center of activity for the community. The project’s wide range of amenities will help ensure there is something for everyone and cultivate a deepened sense of inclusivity and belonging, for locals and visitors alike.
